W2-0027: Mural of Tepantitla

This is a reconstructed image of the Mural of Tepantitla that is found in the museum. The mural shows the Great Goddess wearing a headdress that features an owls head with plumes of feathers rising out of a snake headband (portrayed by the triangular pattern). The same headdress is worn by the priests that stand either side of the goddess and give her offerings. Click here to view the full article.
