Shrine of Teapa
This Mayan fire-basket or brazier is known as the Shrine of Teapa. It depicts a priest wearing a simple kilt and sitting in a cross legged lotus-style position on top of a mask of the Sun God. The flanks of the shrine show the tree of life filled with fanciful beings.
