The Hall of Columns
Building 5 at Mitla is also known as the Hall of Columns, however the front of the building, which is the other side of the wall on the right, is known as Building 7, or The Palace Of Pezelao.
The columns are clearly made from a porous volcanic rock, rarely seen in building work because of its fragility, so it may have been selected for a religious reason instead.
