Building 6: Geometric Designs
These geometric designs are typical amongst the buildings at Mitla and are still used by the modern-day Zapotec textile manufacturers who weave these motifs into their fabrics.
Unbelievably, these designs are produced by cutting individual shapes and slotting them together, without mortar, like pieces of a jigsaw. The designs certainly hold religious significance, though their exact meaning may have been lost.
