Temple of Quetzalcoatl – South Face
This is the south face of Building 3 at Calixtlahuaca. It is believed the temple was dedicated to Ehecatl because of its round shape and the discovery of a statue of Ehecatl, but its shape is very reminiscent of a snake, suggesting it may have been dedicated to a Serpent Cult or Quetzalcoatl. The temple was rebuilt by the Aztec, but four older layers of construction have been found underneath.
