Las Limas Monument 1
This Olmec statue is known as Las Limas Monument 1. It shows a parent holding a Were-Jaguar baby, as though in offering. The parent has four motifs of other “supernaturals” engraved on their shoulder and knees. These could represent a sacred lineage, and the baby could be an heir to the royal line.
